The Douglasville Police Department serves a nighttime population of about 31,000 people. As a business and retail oriented Metro-Atlanta community intersected with a major Interstate, our agency and officers must be well equipped and proactive to handle any situation. As such, our agency provides basic patrol functions, traffic law enforcement and advanced accident investigations, criminal investigations, crime scene processing and analysis, undercover investigations, SWAT Team services, youth against violence outreach programs, gang intelligence gathering, citizen police academies, and other programs designed to foster interaction between the community and the Police. Our agency has 94 certified officers and 25 civilian support positions.
